Boston wasn’t always this funny. Look at your parents, do they look like they had a ton of laughs in their day? Fortunately the early 80s saw a number of local comics stand up and get behind the mic giving Boston a sorely needed laugh. Nick’s Comedy Stop is where Boston comedy all began and it continues to be the place where top national acts and new talent perform before sold-out crowds.

Legends like Steve Allen, Phyllis Diller, Jay Leno, Jerry Seinfeld have appeared at Nick’s while local and national favorites like Lenny Clarke, Denis Leary, Don Gavin, Dane Cook and Steve Steve Sweeney continue to swing by. At almost 30 years old, Boston’s oldest comedy club is still going strong

I had some friends from out of town who heard good things about Nick's. After seeing the reviews here I was not looking forward to going. I'm stoked
that i did!!! The last two comedians were real funny and made the trip into town worth it. Props to you guys! I will definitly be back to see you
again. Are you there every weekend? I'm not to sure about the accuracy of the reviews below. They either don't appreciate new school comedy...
hence the, "its not the nick's it used to be". Do they want to to be like it was 10 years ago? Times have changed guy, so jump on the bandwagon. Oe,
they were expecting a tier 1 comedy show in NYC. Either way....Don't be cheap...if you want cheap drinks then go to Jacob Wirth or the TAM down the
street and laugh at the other patrons there. Cheers Nick - I'll be back!

After reading a bunch of reviews on here and Yelp, I was skeptical on this place. After hearing they had 1/2 price tickets for people with college or
military IDs, I took advantage of having that college ID. Comedians were super funny and there were enough to performers to fill an hour and a half
set without getting stagnant or boring. I laughed pretty hard a few times The door prices are cheap enough (and even cheaper if you bought a
Groupon or have a college or military ID) and the drinks aren't over-the-top expensive. They're pretty on par with the normal prices for that
area. Shows are done by 10, leaving plenty of time for going out afterwards. Would definitely go back to this place in the future

I went here a couple of weeks ago, and I had a great time! A fun way to spend an evening in downtown Boston.
