Facebook Deletes Videos Of Eddie Griffin Calling To Assassinate Donald Trump
Written by Katie Morgan
At the moment there is a lot of chatting on the internet about stand-up comedian Eddie Griffin, and what Griffin said recently. He mentioned at his comedy show to encourage 15,000 people in his audience to kill the President Donald Trump. In the actual video of Eddie pitching the idea of killing the newly appointed president, Trump is very difficult to find. Which is very odd because in an era where everybody saves and shares content.
The Blaze, told Facebook has removed video of Griffin speaking to his crowd to assassinate President Donald J. Trump. This hate speech happened last Friday evening when Eddie was performing at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. According to the website Blaze. Eddie started talking about the assassination of President John F Kennedy and then told the audience they should do the same for Mr. Trump. The comedian Griffin didn’t actually post the tweet. However with a crowd of 15,000 people surely there were many people in the crowd with smartphones. It was posted onto Facebook.
If you do a twitter search for ““Eddie Griffin Trump video” via the latest Twitter via the latest Twitter posts the video doesn’t turn up.
Ben Ferguson was attending the comedy show and streamed clips of it on Facebook Live, and asked the Secret Service to investigate this issue. Below is Ferguson tweet.
Griffin “Do your historic duty. You guys assassinated JFK. Next time he comes to Dallas, put him in a convertible, drive him by the grassy knoll, gets the rednecks out to the grassy knoll. Y’all took out one president, you need to take out another. Y’all need to put Trump into a convertible and take him out, or better yet, the driver should take him out.”
Griffin isn’t the only person who videos are being selectively removed by social networks. Many others are upset with Twitter & Facebook. In an era of so much hate, it’s a very disturbing message.
Though the video should be seen by the general public, I am assuming it was removed as he was inspiring people to actually kill our democratically elected president. I am sure this has been forwarded to the FBI and Secret Service and wouldn’t be surprised if he faces criminal charges.
Is it the time to call FBI & Secret Service? Where is the line between ‘comedy’ and ‘inciting violence’… and has this guy crossed it?
