Brad Belanger started doing Stand-up comedy in Dublin, Ireland, where he performed in local pubs and clubs until he was ready to enter competitions and comedy festivals. He was a finalist in the “NuttinButFunny Competition” as well as winner of “The Battle of the Axe”.
His unique perspective of European culture and energetic style made him a crowd favorite. He put Dublin’s small club The Ha-Penny on the map when a video of him on stage getting heckled went viral on YouTube.
When he returned state side he became a key member of the Sick Puppies Improvisational comedy troupe displaying his ability to think quickly on his feet and go as far as humanly possible to get a laugh. Brad has performed nationwide in famous clubs like the Improv, Stand up NY, The Comedy Cellar, The Laugh inn, The Looney Bin and many more. He has opened up for headliners such as Marc Theobald, Bobby Miyamoto, Willy Barcena, AJ Jamal, Dan Gabriel, Rob Little & Steve White.
When he isn’t performing clubs he produces his own shows at bar venues with great success most notably being his self-proclaimed “Breaking Brad”. After going through the circuit in the U.S, Brad returned to Ireland to tour the clubs he started out in and headlined a sold out show at The Bad Ass Cafe. If he isn’t on stage he is pursuing his acting career. You may have seen Brad share the television screen as an extra with ICE-T this past summer on NBC’s Law & Order SVU. Whether it’s on screen or on stage you are guaranteed to be entertained by Brad Belanger.
