Brendan Fitzgibbons is a comedian, actor, and writer in New York City and Brooklyn, where coffee flows like beards.
He’s a writer/performer for a new sketch series for Comedy Central called Alternatino. He’s the former head writer/performer for the Huffington Post sketch series Celebrities Have Issues, which included viral videos from both Kristen Bell and Aasif Mandvi totaling over 20 million views. He was a writer/performer/host for the AOL/Huffington Post show 2 Point Lead and a host for VOX’s innovative series Kid Designers. He was also in MTV’s Girl Code, Guy Code.
Brendan’s been in several commercials including NFL Network, Comedy Central, Rogaine, Dairy Queen, Polk Audio, and ZocDoc.
He currently produces and performs on the popular weekly stand-up show at Lucky Jacks “Gandhi, is that You?” that Time Out New York calls “One of the Best in NYC,” a weekly show about the election at Carolines “Anyone Can Be President Even Us” and a monthly show at UCB East.
Brendan has also headlined at several colleges and also appeared in the Laughing Devil Festival as well as the Laugh Your Asheville Off Festival, Out of Bounds Comedy Festival in Austin. He was also named as one of 2016 NY Funniest for the New York Comedy Festival.
As an actor, Brendan has studied at Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. His web series, 2040 was named by Huffington Post and IFC as the “Web Series You Should Be Watching.” He also appeared on the first season of Bravo’s The Love Broker, as well as Fox’s Red Eye. As a writer, Brendan has contributed to McSweeney’s, The Onion, The Onion Sports, Cracked magazine and Cracked.com, College Humor, Rolling Stone and Rollingstone.com, and Rolling Stone’s 40th Anniversary Book.
