Like my friend, Sam, says on his headstone: “He who laughs, lasts.”
Standup comedy truly saved my life. Throw in a little therapy – meds if needed – but honestly, making people laugh is my jam.
When I’m performing at a comedy club, delivering a keynote speech, or emceeing an event, and somebody says to me, “I didn’t know depression & anxiety could be so funny. Thank you for making me laugh. I don’t feel so alone.”
Laughter is the ultimate people pleaser. My job is complete.
