Comedy Show in NYC to Support OneOrlando Fund
Description of Show
In the wake of this tragedy in Orlando, it is important to resist the anger that an event like this can breed, while also providing a community of support and love for the victims and their families. Laughter is one of the easiest ways to bring people together. Comedy is way to funnel pain and anguish into something productive. This comedy show accomplishes this as well, by raising money to support the OneOrlando Fund.
The OneOrlando Fund was created following the Pulse nightclub shooting to provide financial support to the victims and families of this tragedy. The Orlando community has come together to show unwavering strength and love, and we in New York should as well.
6 of the best NYC comedians have volunteered to put on this fantastic show and help an important cause. Our host for the night, Charles Gould will begin the show. He will be followed by Shak Standley, Rojo Perez, Matt Pavich, Anthony DeVito, and Matteo Lane, our headliner, will close out the show. Each of these comics bring a unique voice to the show.
Our performers include both winners from the Caroline’s two annual stand up competitions “New York’s Funniest” and “Comedy Madness” last year, as well as regulars from television shows GirlCode, Joking Off, Adam Devine’s House Party, Wild N’ Out and many more.
This show will take place in The Duplex’s Cabaret Theater. As landmark in the local gay NYC community, this venue provides a 70-seat theater that will be roaring with laughter come July 28th.

The venue and all of the performers except for Charles Gould already have a profile on the website (given in the links above). Since Charles Gould does not have a profile, yet, here is a short bio from his website:
Charles Gould is a comedian that lives in the Big Apple. If you recognize him he hopes it’s because he has appeared on MTV (as a nerd), College Humor (as a nerd) and Law and Order (as a nerd blogger), but it’s probably because he looks like a guy you went to camp with named Ethan (Jew). He was named a 2015 “Comic to Watch” by Comedy Central and performed as a finalist in the New York’s Funniest as part of the New York Comedy Festival. If you’re the best looking person in your family or group of friends, then you won’t find him funny.
