Jimmy Kimmel Might Be Leaving Late Night
The late-night star Jimmy Kimmel is thinking about retirement from h is late night comedy talk show, though it won’t be for a few years. He spoke with Variety in an interview, the 49-year-old stand-up comedian is thinking about not resigning his contract agreements with ABC. His wife is currently pregnant and he is looking to focus on other passions. He has a few hobbies that he’d like to focus on making sculptures, He’s like to write a book, and doing a late night show every day doesn’t allow him much time to focus on his other goals. It’s more than a full-time job with writing all his jokes, digging up research on all upcoming guest and on the occasion stand-up comedy sets. We are talking about seventy-hour workload per week.
Kimmel has been at this for a decade and a half hosting his late night show. He also performed and hosted the Emmy awards two times. This weekend will be a big deal for the late night host as he has been awarded to host the Oscars this weekend. He has been nominated for (and won) multiple awards in the past Primetime Emmy Awards 2010, Primetime Emmy Awards 2008, The Streamy Awards 2016, Writers Guild of America, USA 2016 to name a few.
