Nicky Paris and Kelley Lord show what happens when Pokemon Go (es) Wrong
Written by Josh Rosen
If you’re one of the millions of people who check out the Huffington Post everyday, you’ve most likely seen Nicky Paris and Kelley Lord’s hilarious video about the newest phone-game craze, Pokemon Go. They do an excellent job of showing what happens when someone becomes so addicted to the game that real life items turn into Pokemon. In the video, Kelley gets so involved that she jumps off a roof to catch one. Gotta catch them all, even in the face of death. I had the honor of interviewing Nicky and Kelley. They are both hilarious and incredibly talented. You should follow them. Cool.
Here is the interview:
1: How did you come up with the concept of the video?
We were completely in awe how Pokemon Go has taken over the world as we know it and decided to poke some fun at how insane everyone is playing it.
2: Who wrote it, who directed it?
We wrote, directed and produced the video in 24 hours which is kinda crazy!
3: How long have you and Kelley known you wanted to do a video on Pokemon?
As soon as it started to blow up! We got on the phone and put our heads together and a day later it was done!
4: Do you think people actually like the game or is is just a brief escape from the awfulness of the past couple of months?
People love the game and we also think it’s a brief escape from reality. It’s kind of crazy. Instead of catching Pokemon why don’t you try and catch that 401K Plan?
5: Is this the biggest game you have seen on a phone since Angry Birds?
Totally! We wish we thought of it first. We could have been answering these questions from our Yacht.
6: I love the part of the video where the guy asks Kelley if she’s on bath salts. Nice throwback. (Not a question just saying it)
Don’t do drugs, kids.
7: Do you play PokemonGo yourself?
We don’t play regularly but we downloaded the game to do our research! Move over, CNN.
8: Is Kelley actually dead?
I’m very much living but I plan to die in many episodes to come.
