The Simpsons, South Park and Family Guy are known for featuring skit after skit, poking fun at the rich and famous. With so many shots taken at pop stars, it’s only a matter of time until one hits it right on the mark. But predicting the future from three years out? That’s freaking impressive!
In an episode of the Simpsons, originally aired on February 10, 2013, the writers sketched a scene where Alan Rickman cameoed a romantic scene while David Bowie’s “All The Young Dude” played in the background.
Great actor plus fantastic music is normally a recipe for a good segment. But this time it would turn out to be the perfect memorial to two British icons that tragically passed away within days of each other; three years after the airing of this episode.
Hats off to the crew behind The Simpsons’ Twitter account for digging up this clip and sharing it shortly after the passing of both Alan Rickman and David Bowie.
