Amy Veltman
Amy Veltman is a New York City comic who’s performed across the country. She’s appeared at The Comedy Cellar, Charm City Comedy Festival, The Ladies of Laughter competition, Gotham Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club, New York Comedy Club, and Carolines. She’s hosted multiple open mics and shows in NYC and was the first place winner of the Laughing Matters Comedy Competition.
Amy was the producer and co-host of a weekly podcast, 2 Moms on The Couch, which, like her comedy, features her edgy take on motherhood, marriage, and being an outsider in an insider’s world.
She’s appeared on HBO’s SUCCESSION, in CHUTNEY POPCORN (the first feature of LATE NIGHT director Nisha Ganatra), and has written, directed, and/or acted in several short films.
In addition, Amy spent nearly a decade as a corporate consultant and facilitator for the pioneering consultancy On Your Feet. She presented in venues from Lincoln Center to New York’s City Center, designing and facilitating corporate events and training for clients such as Procter & Gamble, Disney, Nike, NBC, and McKinsey all over the USA, Asia, and in Mexico (in Spanish, no less!).
Prior to her consulting work with On Your Feet, she worked as a screenwriter in Hollywood, selling a pitch and screenplay for a teen musical comedy to Disney to be directed by Tony nominee Kristin Hanggi (ROCK OF AGES), which someone should still make into a movie.
Amy is the president of the Alumnae Association of Barnard College and an Alumnae Trustee. She has two teen daughters and a husband who’s a psychiatrist. She thanks them for the endless fount of material they provide.
