Brett Singer
Brett Singer is an actor, writer, musician, and stand-up comic based in New York City. Currently, he produces and hosts a weekly Zoom show with West Side Comedy Club on Mondays called Monday Night Live. Pre-quarantine, under the banner of Prime Time Comedy, he produces a monthly stand-up show at Comic Strip Live and regularly produces at The Friars Club. He has appeared at Broadway Comedy Club, Greenwich Village Comedy Club, West Side Comedy Club, Comic Strip Live, and other locations throughout Manhattan. As an actor, he appeared in commercials for Blue Man Group and Oscar Health Insurance, on the shows “Evil Lives Here”, “Pandora’s Box” and “A Crime To Remember” (all Discovery ID), and played Curious George author Hans Rey on “Mysteries at the Museum” (Travel Channel). As a freelance writer, he has written for AOL (various publications), Babble, The AV Club, ForbesWomen, CulturePop, Snakkle, Mom365, and the Boston Phoenix. As a parenting expert for AOL and DaddyTips.com, Brett appeared on CNN HLN, ABC News Now, NPR, and Fox News. He plays guitar (and everything else) in the Jewish punk band Electric Menorah, which was featured in the book “Oy Oy Oy Gevalt!” by Michael Croland. He is the host of two podcasts – Brett From The Bunker and Comics Who Love Comic Books. He is married and has two children.
