Fizaa Dosani is a Los Angeles-based stand-up comedian, actor, and writer whose recent credits include FX, Netflix, ABC, Bravo, GSN, Youtube Premium, Tastemade Network, and CBS Diversity. She was born and raised in Florida, but eventually escaped. As a comedian, Fizaa gives audiences access to her eccentricities and auniquely hilarious, outside-of-the-box perspective that is her own. She is known to keep an audience laughing and on their toes, and has been featured in the New York Times and Vulture’s Splitsider.
Fizaa is the creator and a producer of Facial Recognition Comedy, an internationally touring stand-up show and comedy brand with a monthly residency at Westside Comedy Theater in Los Angeles, CA. The show was named by the NY Times as one of the top 5 shows to see at NY Comedy Fest. Facial Recognition Comedy features comedians who identify as women of South Asian descent, with the goal of showcasing diversity within the demographic. She is also a co-host of the weekly Facial Recognition Comedy Podcast on the Comedy Pop-Up network on iTunes, Spotify, Sound Cloud, and everywhere else podcasts are found.
She has performed in many comedy festivals including San Francisco Sketchfest, the New York Comedy Festival presented by TBS, LA Diversity in Comedy Fest, Comedy Comedy Festival, Desi Comedy Fest presented by Zee TV, and the Funny Women Festival.
Fizaa is also a co-producer of the popular Los Angeles stand-up show Blunt Force Comedy. She has a second podcast called Transplant with Jil and Fizaa that is in production at the World Famous Comedy Store’s recording studio.
She has only been involved in one high speed car chase with the police. It was in Florida.
Fizaa is represented theatrically by Ideal Talent Agency. Commercially, she is represented by Lemon Lime Agency. She is a member of SAG-AFTRA.
