Katie Hannigan is a New York City-based stand-up comedian, actor, and writer known for her sharp wit, clever storytelling, and relatable humor. She has been featured on major platforms including The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Comedy Central, Just For Laughs New Faces, The Late Late Show with James Corden, Travel Channel, and MTV.
Katie performs nightly at some of the top comedy clubs in New York City, including New York Comedy Club, Stand Up NY, West Side Comedy Club, and the iconic Caroline’s on Broadway. Her debut comedy album, Feeling of Emptiness, was named one of the Ten Best Comedy Albums of 2022 by The Interrobang, showcasing her rise as one of stand-up’s freshest voices.
Beyond stand-up, Katie has built an impressive career in television and writing. She has acted in That Damn Michael Che (HBO Max), Succession (HBO), Funny or Die, CollegeHumor, and Comedy Central. She’s also appeared in national commercials for Subway, Cheez-Its, Maybelline, and Home Depot, and she’s a proud member of SAG-AFTRA.
As a writer, Katie co-created the animated series Death Hacks starring Thomas Middleditch and Kristen Schaal for Augenblick Studios. She also wrote the series Miss Information for the History Channel and the web series Moments in Time, featured at the Yes And Laughter Lab.
Katie’s creativity extends to podcasting, where she co-hosts the hit show Lady Journey with comedian Sarah Tollemache, blending humor, lifestyle topics, and personal growth into every episode.
