Yoni Downs, founder of DeadEnd Comedy is a New York City-based comedian, musician, actor, and writer with almost 5 years of experience producing live and online content. As an actor, he worked on stage in New York and Berlin, and
Yoni draws from his experiences growing up. He spent most of his childhood in Minneapolis and Tulsa, and his professional life in Chicago, New York & Berlin before settling permanently in New York. He was born in Tel-Aviv.
Yoni has performed at West Side Comedy Club, Gotham Comedy Club, The Stand, Greenwich & Broadway Comedy Club. He also wrote an original score for the short film Possum (2013) which won best short at the Nitehawk Shorts Festival from the same year.
He is a multi-instrumentalist and fluent in English, Hebrew, Spanish and German. His latest project involves producing, engineering, and co-hosting a new podcast called The Negroni Show which uncompromisingly tests the bounds of comedic discourse.
Through the title DeadEnd Comedy, Yoni has put a few hundred comedians up on stage across New York City, producing almost 50 shows over the last few years.
Yoni performs at some of the very best comedy clubs in New York City. She can be found performing at New York Comedy Club, The Stand NYC.
