Theo Von’s career in comedy has skyrocketed, taking him from the small town of Covington, Louisiana, to headlining stages across the nation. Based in Los Angeles, California, Theo has been a fixture in the comedy scene for over ten years, and his unique blend of humor has earned him a loyal following.

He’s not only performed on Comedy Central and Last Comic Standing, but he’s also made his mark on Netflix with his special No Offense, filmed in his home state of Louisiana at the Civic Theater in New Orleans. This special showcases his storytelling prowess and Southern charm, with an edge that keeps audiences laughing.

But Theo’s talent isn’t limited to stand-up. He’s made appearances in films like InAPPropriate Comedy and The Tomorrow War, where his comedic timing continues to shine. His podcast, This Past Weekend, offers listeners a raw and hilarious insight into his life, and has grown into one of the most popular comedy podcasts out there.

Of course, no mention of Theo Von would be complete without bringing up his close friendship with Joe Rogan. Theo has appeared multiple times on Rogan’s The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, where their banter and chemistry are a fan favorite. Theo’s candidness, combined with Rogan’s more analytical style, makes for thought-provoking yet laugh-out-loud discussions. Their friendship extends beyond the mic, with both comedians showing support for each other’s work and careers.

When I caught up with Theo at the Comedy Cellar, one of his favorite spots to perform, he opened up about his journey in comedy, how he handles the challenges of being on stage, and the lessons he’s learned along the way.
