New York City just reached another tourism record for the 8th straight year in a row, hosting a whopping 62.8 million tourist last year, according to city officials.
NYC saw an uplift of 2.3 million tourists since 2016, NYC & Company commissioner said on Tuesday, despite issues that restrictions like the travel ban would lead to a drop.
“Even with all the headwinds from the White House, we attracted a record number of visitors to our city; that’s a testament to the strength of our tourism sector and the values of our city,” Mayor de Blasio said in the statement.
