Ashley Austin Morris is a New York City-based stand-up comedian, actor, and writer known for her sharp wit, fearless storytelling, and scene-stealing performances on stage and screen.
Currently, Ashley stars as Roxanne Hertz opposite Jesse Eisenberg and Claire Danes in FX’s hit series Fleishman Is in Trouble. She can also be seen as Nicole in Shonda Rhimes’ Netflix series Inventing Anna and as Debbie in Peacock’s Perfect Match alongside Natasha Lyonne. Her television credits include standout appearances in The Other Two (HBO), The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (Amazon Prime), Tommy (CBS), The Bite (Spectrum Originals), The Good Wife (CBS), Desperate Housewives (ABC), Ugly Betty (ABC), Murphy Brown (CBS revival), Divorce (HBO), and The Deuce (HBO).
In film, Ashley has worked with some of the biggest names in Hollywood, appearing in Clint Eastwood’s Sully, Premium Rush (Columbia Pictures), and Generation Um (Voltage Pictures). She’s also a talented voice artist, known for her work on the popular video game Red Dead Redemption and as Francine Carothers in PBS Kids’ Prankster Planet, a spinoff of The Electric Company.
Beyond TV and film, Ashley’s theater credits include starring roles in productions like Die Mommie Die (New World Stages), Love, Loss and What I Wore (West Side Theatre), Romance Novels for Dummies (Williamstown Theatre Festival), and The Way Of The World (Folger Shakespeare Theatre).
Ashley is also a powerhouse in stand-up comedy. Her debut comedy album, Slightly Off, debuted at #1 on the iTunes Comedy Charts and continues to perform well. She can be seen performing regularly at New York Comedy Club, Gotham Comedy Club, and venues across the country. Her stand-up has been featured on AXS TV’s Gotham Comedy Live, showcasing her bold humor and relatable storytelling.
As a writer, Ashley was a finalist for the Young Playwrights Festival for her play Libido Limbo, and contributed to Stuffed, which ran off-Broadway at the West Side Theatre.
