Vannessa Jackson is a talented stand-up comedian and award-winning television writer based in New York City. Known for her quick wit, vibrant energy, and sharp perspective, Vannessa is one of the brightest new stars in comedy today.

She is a former staff writer for Saturday Night Live (SNL), where she wrote for seasons 47 through 49, helping craft sketches for one of television’s most iconic shows. Vannessa also wrote for HBO’s A Black Lady Sketch Show (Season 4) and NBC’s A Little Late with Lilly Singh (Season 2), bringing her distinctive humor to national audiences.

Before making her mark in New York, Vannessa sharpened her skills in Los Angeles, writing for E! television networks and even beginning her career at Tiger Beat magazine, where she covered celebrity news and pop culture.

Early in her career, she served as a writing apprentice for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, an experience that propelled her toward success in late-night television and beyond.

When she’s not writing for some of TV’s biggest shows, Vannessa performs stand-up across New York City.
