The American stand up comedian, actress, and producer Amy Schumer is hosting Saturday Night Live this Saturday night. This will be Amy first time hosting SNL. This has been a huge year for Schumer winning Emmy Award for sketch show on Comedy Central. It’s been one big accomplishment after another accomplishment. It seems there is currently no stopping Hillary Clinton especially when she appeared on last Saturday’s season premiere Saturday Night Live. Hillary flawlessly took on the role of a friendly bartender who went by the name of Val. In the Irish themed pub, Hillary was seen in character serving familiar cast member Kate McKinnon, who was set out to impersonate her. “I needed to blow off some steam. I have had a hard couple of 22 years” Kate began as she took on the role of impersonation Hillary. Not only was Hillary Clinton teamed up with Kate McKinnon, but popular pop princess Miley Cyrus also featured on the show as Saturday Night Live’s host for the evening and also performed as musical guest during the show. And if that wasn’t enough Miley also appeared for a brief moment in the Clinton sketch as a friendly bar patron. read more

Saturday Night Live

The former first lady Hillary Clinton was featured on the season premiere of SNL, but not playing herself. The the current Democratic presidential candidate frontrunner played Val the bartender in a sketch comedy opposite resident SNL Clinton impersonator Kate McKinnon.

“I’m just an ordinary citizen who believes the Keystone Pipeline will destroy our environment,” Clinton as Val joked.

Hillary Clinton’s attempts to appear engaging for comedy, and also teased her transformation on issues like marriage equality. (“I could have supported it sooner,” McKinnon’s Clinton said to the real Clinton. “Well, you did it pretty soon,” responded Clinton.) read more

STATEN ISLAND SUMMER Trailer (2015)

The lack of movies featuring Staten Island, the least populous borough of New York City has been a cross born by all former and current residents of New York’s Richmond County. Today, however, Staten Island Summer brought the borough out of the background and gave the region a spotlight. The same spotlight that’s been notoriously missing since the opening scenes of the Godfather.

There’s more to living in Staten Island than the quiet neighborhoods outside of New York City might let on at first glance. Many locals consider the relaxed, recreational vibe something to rally around. The old joke of “Gym-Tan-Laundry” isn’t so much a description of a lifestyle, but more a stereotype that needs to be gently broken. read more
