After the success of two NYC Comedy Clubs, Al Martins decided to expand its brand and in 2012 opened the Greenwich Village Comedy Club in the heart of Greenwich Village on MacDougal Street one block south of the Comedy Cellar. Martin once again took the risk by opening Greenwich Village Comedy, the only two-part entertainment complex with three showrooms in New York serving more than 600 comedy fans from around the world every night. In 2005, he co-directed the Boston Comedy Club with Barry Katz, executive producer of NBC Last Comic Standing, and gave Al Martin the right to be the first three comedy clubs in New York. read more

We all know laughter is the best piece of medicine.   Seeing a comedy show in NYC is an absolute must for everyone who enjoys have some fantastic laughs and some drinks with good friends. New York City is the mecca for stand up comedy in the USA many of the famous comedians such as Chris Rock, Judah Friedlander, Jerry Seinfeld, Sarah Silverman all live in New York. It’s the entertainment capital of the world.  You might even catch a famous comedian doing a set at the Comedy Cellar, New York Comedy Club, Stand Up New York or Greenwich Village Comedy Club or any NYC Comedy Club.   Here is a list of comedy shows this week at the New York Comedy Club Midtown and East Village locations. New York City is the mecca of stand up comedy in America and every night you can see hilarious comedians at all these top venues. It’s hard to choose the best shows to see this week but here is a good lineup for this week.

Here is a list of 10 great NYC comedy shows that are lined up for performance at NYC clubs this last week of February:

1. Early Evening Stand Up Extravaganza Broadway Comedy Club
On February 24, 2019, starting at 7:00 pm, there will be an Early Evening Stand Up Extravaganza where a lineup full of top headliners will be presented. In their listing, the comedy club describes them as the best comedians in New York. Also in the lineup will be special guests who are drawn from different parts of the country. The list includes comedians who have appeared in a number of shows on HBO, The Tonight Show, The Daily Show, and Comedy Central, among others. Some of the comedians include Rob Cantrell. Rob has appeared on NBC, HBO, FX, as well as Comedy Central, among others. He emerged in the top ten finalists during the first season of NBC’s Last Comic Standing, as well as performing on CBS’s The Late Show. His new stand up comedy can be streamed in different platforms; currently, it has been listened to more than 20,000 times per week on Pandora, Spotify, and iTunes. Apart from his sterling performances, Rob has also written on projects for Adult Swim, High Times, Comedy Central, Howard Stern, and more.
Christine Meehan-Berg. Christine is of the Food Network fame. She is a legend in standup comedy, an artist who has a good understanding of what the audience wants.
Harry Terjanian. Henry, winner of the Andy Kaufman award, will also be in the house as a special guest. A little background on who was Andy Kaufman can probably help give an idea of what to expect from a comedian who has won an award that celebrates him. Andy Kaufman was a veteran entertainer, a person who told jokes in an engaging way. He normally referred to himself as a “song and dance man.” His promise was to try and entertain the audience the best way he could. He performed on Saturday Night Live, which is where he actually started. Other shows where he has performed include Latka Gravas, Taxi, Late Night with David Letterman, and King Lawler, among other appearances. read more
