Chris Distefano’s new general deal with Comedy Central could function as a blueprint for future deals for top comedians to aspire to lock.

The agreement with Comedy Central carries a second-hour special, an animated show, an unscripted series along with also the continuation of his Friday night interstitial series Stupid Questions with Chris Distefano, in addition to first look at content created/developed for any Comedy Central platform.

The venture comes after the 34-year-old, New York-based comedian had seven pilots not to make it into the air within the last several years, including a for CBS based on his lifetime together with Chaz Palminteri (A Bronx Tale) playing his dad. Comedy Central is picking up Jason Sudeikis and Lorne Michaels produced series Detroiters. The project has been greenlit for a 10 episode run. Detroiters stars SNL writer Tim Robinson and Veep‘s Sam Richardson as Detroit natives seeking to renovate their city. Robinson and Richardson are both Detroit advertisers trying to bring back Detroit to the city it once was. New York Comedy Festival Adds Comedy Show In Brooklyn

New York Comedy Festival has disclosed a many new additions to its 2015 comedy schedule, along with its first Brooklyn comedy show as well as panel talks with the comedy writers from “The Tonight Show” and “The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore.”

The new addition will be taking place at Brooklyn’s Kings Theater, “Comedy Central Live” will include stand-up comedian Hannibal Buress and feature performer Nick Kroll, Natasha Leggero, John Mulaney and Jeff Ross, with more unannounced talent coming. The New York Comedy Festival show is scheduled for Nov. 13. read more

Ostrovksy, a 30 year old Jewish man who grew up on the upper west side of Manhattan, has been one of the largest instagram and twitter personalities on the planet due to his funny pictures, memes and gifs. Now it is coming to fruition that his content is merely regurgitated form other funny comics, and he is now paying the price for it. Comedy Central has announced they dropped their deal with him after half the internet chastised him for stealing.
